see what the thinkersbebo readers think. I have constructed a few

As of Sept 1, 2009, fourteen states have legalized gay marriage. Should gay marriage be legalized on a national level?
The US spent between $925 billion and $1.14 trillion on it's military budget in 2009. This is far more than any other country in the world. Is it necessary for the US to have such a massive military? or is it time the US scales back it's armed forces?

Researchers are reporting an increase in average global temperatures. There are several conflicting views on why this is happening. What is going on?
Is there is an absolute sense of right and wrong that all humans have built into them? Thus meaning that all people know and can agree on what is a good or right action as apposed to a bad or wrong action. Is there an absolute right and wrong?
Will the human race make it another 500 years? It seems like the number of possible
'dooms day' scenarios is endless. Asteroid collisions, Gamma Ray bursts, Fusion Missile exchanges, Super Volcano eruptions, Global Climate change, and so-on.. It's almost as if the odds are stacked against us. So what do you think? Will the Human race survive another 500 years?
Technological progression is accelerating at an exponential rate. In the next 100 years we will experience 20,000 years of progress (at today's rate). I think this will benefit the human race in ways that are unimaginable. Do you agree?

Lets say you are given the option to slow your body's aging process down to a fraction of what it normally is. This would allow you to live an extra fifty to sixty years. But in order for this to happen you have to replace most of your blood cells, and at least 20% of your brain cells, with artificial nano-robotic ones. Would you do it?
The Science of Genetics is quickly becoming more powerful in it's ability to manipulate DNA strands. It has been suggested that in the near future we will have the ability to choose the genes that our children will receive before birth.
